Explore how Jewish artists have used recurring Shabbat motifs to reflect upon moments of communal reckoning and historic change. From  Isidor Kaufmann’s nostalgic “Sabbath Room” (1899) to the haunting Shabbat Table installation in Tel Aviv’s Hostages Square (2023).
Shiur and kiddush on Shabbat morning following davening at 11:30 a.m. 

Shabbat Mincha 8:10 p.m. followed by seudah shlishit and shiur with Dr. Alanna Cooper

Erev Tisha b’Av - Shabbat, August 2nd
Shabbat Mincha will be earlier at 6:00 p.m. No Seudah Shlishit at the Shul. Fast begins at 8:41 p.m. Shabbat ends at 9:30 p.m. We recite  "Baruch Hamavdil ben Kodesh L'Chol". Ma'ariv followed by Eichah and Kinot at 9:45 p.m. at the shul. Only the Beracha of "Borei Morei HaEish" is recited on Saturday night. One who is fasting recites the blessing of "Borei Pri HaGafen" and Havdalah on Sunday after the fast ends.
9th of AV - Tisha b’Av - Sunday, August 3rd
Shacharit will begin at 8:30 a.m. followed by Explanatory Kinot. Talit and Tefillin are not put on until Mincha. MOVIE at 6:30 p.m. "Legend of Destruction" Mincha 8:10 p.m.  Maariv at 8:45 p.m. The fast concludes at 9:15 p.m.

Holocaust Survivors’ Shabbat-  August 9th. Shacharit at 9:15 a.m. followed by speaker at 11:15 a.m. Details to follow.
